Senior Software Engineer
Description:
Join Quantenna’s stellar embedded software team as a Senior Software Engineer. The core responsibility for this position is to lead the design and development of software/firmware for fastest WiFi performance platform in the world. Work on firmware, device drivers and system integration for current 802.11n/ac MIMO chipsets and next generation 802.11ac MIMO chipsets. Develop “direct on metal” firmware and Linux embedded software. Design robust, reliable, modular and high performance software components for Wi-Fi applications. Develop and implement algorithms for 802.11ac MIMO PHY, Baseband and MAC.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of 802.11 with good understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP is a must. Developing Wi-Fi software stack (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) with device bring-up and network platform product development is required
- Excellent embedded programming skills using C language is a must.
- Experience developing network device driver with good understanding of interrupts, tasklets, spinlocks, semaphores, IPC, DMA/Cache and SMP concepts is required.
- Ability to profile and identify bottle necks in the driver performance and propose solution to overcome CPU utilization and data throughput issues is a plus
- Detailed knowledge of PCIe/RGMII desired
- Candidate should possess excellent communication and analytical skills with a passion for excellence
- BS degree with 9+ years of experience or a MS degree and 6+ years of experience preferred
