WiFi Architect

Description:

  • Join Quantenna Communications’ Solution Architecture team as a Wi-Fi Architect leading the design of Wi-Fi features for state of the art WiFi products.
  • Take on a role that includes technical leadership, innovation and customer interaction.
  • Wi-Fi architect will work with cross-functional teams from engineering and marketing to architect and design Wi-Fi features addressing market requirement for next generation Wi-Fi products.
  • Ability to work with customers and understand their requirement and architect Wi-Fi solutions for those requirements.
  • Ability to come up with innovative solutions for new emerging applications.
  • Position reports to director of solution architecture.

Requirements:

  • MS in EE, CE or CS with 5+ years or PhD in EE, CE or CS with 3+ years of relevant wireless experience.
  • Knowledge of IEEE 802.11
  • Hands-on experience with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac SoC or product development.
  • Phy and MAC layer knowledge

Desired Skills:

  • High data rates experience with a variety of hardware interfaces including PCIe
  • Knowledge of WiFi Open Source projects like hostapd and open supplicants
  • Knowledge of WiFi Alliance specifications like Hotspot 2.0
  • TCP/IP and Networking
  • Wi-Fi security protocols
  • Switching architectures
  • Wi-Fi enterprise and retail background
  • WiFi Direct/Miracast background
  • Patent portfolio
