WiFi Software Wizard

Description:

  • Join Quantenna Communications’ Software Development team as a WiFi Software Architect specializing in 802.11, Radio MAC and Radio technologies.
  • Take on a role that includes both Leader and Implementation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on software and chip architectures for next generation 802.11ac MIMO chipsets.
  • Design high performance, scalable, and modular subsystems for 802.11ac standards based chipsets. Ability to work with the ASIC team to define new baseband radios. Ability to make existing baseband architectures take on new applications.
  • Develop advanced rate adaptation, power savings, dynamic frequency selection, radio management,
    and interference avoidance algorithms.
  • Develop core components of firmware, device driver and applications.
  • Represent Quantenna Communications at standards meetings and WFA Plug Fests.

Requirements:

  • MS in EE, CE, CS or equivalent.
  • 8+ year relevant firmware or embedded software development and debugging experience.
  • Participation in Interoperability Plug Fests.
  • Ability to convert dBM to watts in your head.
  • Hands-on experience with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac SoC or product development.
  • In depth knowledge of 802.11 and WiFi Alliance specifications. Abiltity to work on features at PHY to upper MAC levels.
  • Knowledge of Linux Embedded Development and development of “bare metal” embedded software
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and Networking. Knowledge of Switching and interconnect architectures a plus.
  • Understanding of how to create hardware/software radio architectures that scale to different market segments.
  • Ability to travel on occasion to provide technical leadership at development centers and support
    marketing at customer demos.
