Hardware Engineer

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Lead designer of ultra-high performance, low-cost, embedded Wifi reference designs for high-volume production.
  • Analyze and resolve high speed digital buses issues such as PCIe, RGMIII and DDR3.
  • Document results in technical reports.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE and MSEE preferred.
  • 5+ years experience minimum designing high-volume consumer communication products with network processors.
  • Expert in the analysis and troubleshooting and investigating high speed digital interface related issues on systems.
  • Ability to work closely with other functional teams (ASIC and SW)
  • High speed digital systems knowledge: Familiar with PCIe, RGMII, DDR3 and USB subsystems is required.
  • RF Communication systems knowledge: Familiar with Wifi, OFDM and self-calibrating systems is a plus.
  • Experienced in component selection, simulation, PCB layout, debug, and testing for high-volume.
  • Experience with OrCAD or similar schematic capture tools.
  • Experienced in using microwave simulation tools and modeling of active and passive devices.
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools is desired.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and independently.
  • Be prepared to travel to work with customers.
