SQA Manager/Lead

Description:

Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Manager or Lead will be responsible for all aspects of quality control of embedded software development cycle. Working in an agile development environment the candidate will work with cross-functional teams of embedded SW, System, HW and Customer Management to ensure relevant testing is executed for each release. The tasks include development, implementation and enforcement of processes and procedures and implementation of rigorous testing methods to evaluate and ensure quality of the software. The candidate will be intimately involved in the entire software development process to ensure full knowledge of the proposed software design and that testing covers all aspects of intended functionality. He or she will have knowledge and exposure to wireless communication and networking technology. The candidate will manage to increase testing efficiency and coverage through automation improvement, new processes introduction and creation of best test plans. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing day to day activity of a local SQA team. He will be reporting to head of SQA or one of managers.

Requirements :

  • Key requirement: personal dedication to quality software and passion for testing and troubleshooting and belief in process and methodology.
  • MS in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 10 years of industry experience with focus on Quality Assurance testing and Automation Testing.
  • Develop and drive a high-level QA strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
  • Significantly contribute to efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient.
  • Expand existing automation framework and introduce new initiatives to increase SQA test coverage.
  • Contribute to test planning, test documentation, reporting and design and implementation of validation procedures.
  • Develop methodologies and lead in setting and maintaining the standards for Software Quality Assurance test.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process.
  • Identify areas for test improvement through analysis, experience and use of appropriate metrics.
  • Communicate SW quality status and critical issues effectively and through industry accepted quality metrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a vision of what and how to make things happen.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently to drive with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of QA process with exposure to industry based process improvement techniques.
  • Good analytical and logical problem solving abilities.
  • Previous experience in testing of communication and/or networking SW is must.
  • Previous experience in the field of wireless and WiFi highly desired.
