Sr. Staff FW Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for RF and high-speed interface driver for high-performance Wi-Fi chipsets, including design, coding, unit and integration testing and maintenance.
- Participation in system integration and verification in cooperation with System-Engineering and Hardware design group.
- Analyzing and solving of technical issues during bring-up.
- Profiling processor, memory/cache/bus performance and optimizing wireless/RF performance in embedded wireless systems.
- On-time delivery with high quality and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.
- Work closely with software teams in other locations and Systems, Applications and Test teams on task assignments, integration and field trials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master in EE, CS, CE, or related disciplines with 10+ years of experience in embedded software with exposure to RF/DSP FW.
- Self-directed and motivated to be successful in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and programming proficiency using C and/or assembly language.
- Experience in development of Linux kernel and drivers in a plus.
- Good coordination and problem solving skills and ability to meet tough goals under high pressure.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Experience of Wi-Fi and/or other wireless networking drivers is desirable.
- Experience in Boot-loader, OS layer, driver layer or middleware development is an asset.
