Wi-Fi Architect/Technical Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for architecture, design, development of software/firmware for high-performance Wi-Fi chipsets for carrier, retail and enterprise customers.
- Provide technical leadership through participation in every phase of a project, from requirements, architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, maintenance and reviews. Provide technical guidance to other team members and mentor new team members.
- On-time delivery with high quality and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.
- Work closely with software teams in other locations and Systems, Applications and Test teams on task assignments, integration and field trials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters in EE, CS, CE, or related disciplines with 12+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and programming proficiency using C and/or assembly language.
- Experience of Wi-Fi and/or other wireless networking standards including 802.11 and WLAN technology.
- Experience of IP networking with good knowledge of TCP/IP and/or network security.
- Good understanding of Linux kernel and drivers.
- Good coordination and problem solving skills and ability to meet tough goals under high pressure.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of CPU architecture, DMA, Cache, DSP and PCIe interface.
- Knowledge of RF, OFDM, and MIMO is desired.
- Experience in Boot-loader, OS layer, driver layer or middleware development is a plus
