Senior Product Engineer - SanJose

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving FT yield improvement through emphasis on Foundry PCM data optimization to ensure Final Test yield targets exceed KPIs.
  • Close cooperation with Foundry, Test, CQE & NPI engineering teams to drive improvements in Fab process, Assembly process and Test methodology.
  • Improvements in quality, capacity, supply assurance, cost and yield at manufacturing sub-contractors, ramping and enabling new technologies as appropriate.
  • Support Planning team on executing the manufacturing output plan at ‘new’ manufacturing sites, providing feedback on issues affecting supply.
  • Be able to narrow down issues utilizing a ‘data-driven approach’ encompassing product quality analysis, failure analysis, FT vs. PCM correlation analysis, system reliability analysis, and customer application analysis summaries to solve issues or provide solutions.
  • Experience in yield management, continuous improvement and cost reduction in a high volume fabless semiconductor environment.
  • Setup statistical tool & techniques or performing data analysis for gap and root cause analysis.
  • WS/FT yield management and fully responsible to bring up the new vendor/supplier (logistic/process/rule/system).
  • Responsible for production lot hold disposition, yield sustaining & improvement, test time optimization, and be able to support PFA.
  • Must have knowledge and on-hands demonstrated experience using standard lab equipment such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power-meter, function generator, AWG, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis of product yield/quality issue at wafer fab, IC assembly, IC test, and system-level testing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics or related engineering fields of study.
  • 5-7+ years of professional experience working in a fabless semiconductor environment.
  • Advanced understanding of statistical process control techniques.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Wafer Fab or IC assembly experience desired.
  • Solid understanding of IC test methodologies, IC Product engineering, and IC manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational, practical mathematical (statistical) skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good grasp of modern failure and materials analysis techniques.
  • Good understanding of Mixed-signal test and test techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of customer spec reviews and/or Qualification Process.
