Quantenna Communications adds Richard Sekar as Vice President of Marketing
Experienced Leader Has Proven Track Record In Helping To Build Industry-Leading Companies Including Ikanos, Copper Mountain And AscendSunnyvale, CA - February 11, 2008 - Quantenna Communications, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company creating advanced chipsets for wireless technology, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Richard Sekar to its executive team. As vice president of marketing, Sekar will lead the product management and worldwide marketing initiatives to introduce Quantenna's disruptive wireless products into the market.

The wireless semiconductor market is expected to exceed $4 billion by the year 2010 according to Gartner Dataquest. With more than 20 Ph.Ds on board, Quantenna has formed a truly unique team and is well positioned to capitalize on the wireless market with technology based on fundamental breakthroughs and innovation in wireless networking, adaptive systems, and advanced MIMO transmission. The company's management team is led by industry visionaries Behrooz Rezvani, Ph.D. and Andrea Goldsmith, Ph.D.
Sekar brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing to the carrier, consumer, systems and semiconductor market place to the Quantenna executive team. Prior to joining Quantenna, Sekar was the founder and CEO of LiteBand Communications, Inc. Sekar has helped build several successful companies including Ikanos Communications, Copper Mountain Networks and Ascend Communications. As the Vice President of marketing at Ikanos, he was instrumental in filing for a successful IPO. He helped bring several generations of industry-leading VDSL chipsets to the market, for both central office and customer premise equipment, and in developing the market for Ikanos products worldwide. Prior to Ikanos, Sekar served as the Assistant Vice President of marketing at Copper Mountain Networks and was also instrumental in their successful IPO. Sekar was instrumental in launching the world's first and successful IDSL and MultiDSL product line at Ascend Communications. In the past, Sekar had held marketing and sales positions at Tzero, ECI Telematics, Symantec and Micom. Sekar has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a B.S (Honors) in Production Engineering from REC-Trichy (University of Madras), India.
