Andrea Goldsmith, PhD, Co-Founder and CTO of Quantenna Communications, Inc., will be appearing in a panel discussion on "Entrepreneurs in Networking Research" at the upcoming IEEE-Infocom show in Phoenix.
Dr. Goldsmith will share her experience in developing commercial products based on ideas and insights obtained through academic research. Who:
Andrea Goldsmith is a recognized expert in the field of wireless communications and networks, with an emphasis on MIMO systems, adaptive transmission, and low-power design. While currently serving as Chief Technology Officer for Quantenna, she is on leave from Stanford University where she is a professor of Electrical Engineering. She was previously at the California Institute of Technology, and has also held industry positions as Chief Scientist at Memorylink Corporation and as a technical staff member at AT&T Bell Laboratories and at Maxim Technologies. Dr Goldsmith has received numerous awards and honors for her work on wireless and MIMO communications.
Dr. Goldsmith is an IEEE Fellow and Distinguished Lecturer, and is on the Board of Governors for both the IEEE Communications and Information Theory Societies. She has also served on two National Research Council committees studying issues related to wireless technology and policy. Dr. Goldsmith has been granted 1 patent with 6 patents pending.
