Software Techincal Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development of software and firmware of high-performance Wi-Fi chipsets, including design, coding, bug fixing, unit and integration tests.
  • Responsible for design and review of new software features and the research of new technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership through participation in projects and reviews. Provide technical input and guidance to junior engineers.
  • On-time delivery with high quality and adherence to corporate processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with our China, Russia and Australia software, system, application and test teams on task assignments, integration and field trials.
  • Support releases activities during the whole life cycle of chipset software development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master in EE, CS, CE, or related disciplines with 12+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development on Linux platform.
  • Technical leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and programming proficiency using C and/or assembly language.
  • Experience of Wi-Fi and/or other wireless networking drivers including 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology.
  • Experience of IP networking with good knowledge of TCP/IP and/or network security.
  • Rich experience of development for Linux kernel and driver.
  • Experience with software lifecycle management including build, packaging, release and delivery processes.
  • Good coordination and problem solving skills and ability to meet tough goals under high pressure.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of CPU architecture, DMA, Cache, DSP and PCI/PCI-E is an asset.
  • Knowledge of RF, Regulatory, OFDM, and MIMO is an asset.
  • Experience in Boot-loader, OS layer, driver layer or middleware development is an asset
