WiFi System Architect

In the position of Wireless System Architect will participate in developing products and defining features for next generation Quantenna’s WLAN chipsets. He/she will engage with algorithms, DSP, SW, RF/analog, digital design, board and QA teams to define appropriate features and performance levels, compliancy matrices and project success parameters. The ideal candidate will have enough breath to design the systems aspects of a complex feature and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and bring it to production.

Requirements:

  • Experience with OFDM, WLAN standards (e.g. 802.11abgn), and MIMO systems
  • Working knowledge and design experience with embedded systems, firmware, development tools, microcontrollers, digital signal processing, mixed signal, analog, and power management
  • Theoretical grounding in one of the following areas of physical layer algorithms and their implementation for digital communications systems, cross layer optimization, network level optimization and video codecs and transport
  • Expertise in analog architectures including RF front-end design, RF impairments and their calibration and their impact on baseband design
  • Familiar with Lab activities including RF test equipment
  • Working experience with C, Matlab and scripting languages such as PERL and Python
  • Able to plan and coordinate projects with teams globally and execute projects independently
  • MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 10 + years of experience with WLAN
