Gemtek Partners with Quantenna to Deliver High Performance 802.11n 4x4 MIMO Solutions for Home HD Video Distribution
Quantenna's Best-in-class Wi-Fi Video Streaming Technology Qualified by a Major North American Set-Top Box Manufacturer
FREMONT, Calif., July 07, 2011 ― Quantenna Communications, Inc., a leading developer of 802.11n silicon for streaming and distributing high-definition (HD) video over Wi-Fi throughout the home, today announced a partnership with Gemtek Technology Co. Ltd., an original design manufacturer (ODM) based in Taiwan, accelerating time-to-market for high performance Wi-Fi enabled set-top boxes (STBs) and video bridges. The product is now available to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide and has been qualified by a major North American set-top box manufacturer.

The early adoption by the ODM community assures carriers and retail OEMs that products based on Quantenna’s leading Wi-Fi video technology can be quickly brought to full production. Gemtek has created designs based on Quantenna’s Full-11n QHS710 solution, undergoing extensive testing to ensure product quality and manufacturability. Consequently, OEM customers will require minimal development to adapt these designs as their own branded products.

Availability
The Quantenna QHS710 chipset and reference design, including all enabling software, is currently shipping in production.
