Quantenna Joins Global Semiconductor Association
First Chip Supplier to Offer 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi Devices Will Play Active Role in One of World’s Most Influential Semiconductor Organizations
FREMONT, Calif., December 8, 2009 - Quantenna Communications, Inc., a leader in ultra-reliable Wi-Fi networking for whole-home entertainment, today announced it has joined the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), the global voice for the semiconductor industry.
Quantenna joins the GSA as the only company to offer industry-standard 802.11n chipsets that include the complete range of Full-11N™ capabilities for ultra-reliable high-definition TV (HDTV) and 1080p video streaming. Quantenna will be working with other GSA members to make the next generation of home entertainment and data networking applications a reality, using a unique combination of 4x4 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), adaptive transmit digital beamforming technology and wireless channel monitoring and optimization.
