Wireless System DSP Engineer
Description:
In the position of wireless DSP engineer, the candidate will be responsible for design, development, implementation, optimization, testing and maintaining parts of WiFi communication system. Mainly this position focused on DSP-processor oriented implementation. Candidate will work closely with algorithm teams in Russia and US offices as well software and test teams on task assignments, integration and field trials. Candidate should participate in every phase of a project, from requirements, architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, maintenance, customer support and reviews.
Typical responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of new algorithms.
- Implementation and maintaining signal processing functions in C.
- Optimization of existing algorithms.
- Writing Matlab/Octave scripts for simulation.
- Code review.
- Being a bridge between embedded developers and researchers inventing new algorithms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, MS or Ph.D. preferred.
- Several years DSP programming experience.
- Strong ANSI C knowledge.
- MATLAB knowledge.
- Deep knowledge and experience with mathematical concepts and development in one of the areas of communication theory, signal processing or speech and image processing
- Good coordination and problem solving skills and ability to meet tough goals under high pressure.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience of wireless communication standards including 802.11, WLAN or LTE technology is a plus.
- Knowledge of RF, OFDM, MIMO and transmit beamforming is a big plus.
