Dr. John M. Cioffi

Dr. John Cioffi currently is chairman of the board and CEO of ASSIA. Dr. Cioffi is a veteran of the DSL industry, having served as founder, CTO and vice president of Engineering at Amati prior to its acquisition by TI in 1997. Dr. Cioffi also holds a tenured endowed professorship at Stanford University in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He has served on several boards and currently serves on the boards of the start-ups Teknovus, Teranetics and ClariPhy.

Dr. Cioffi has published over 250 papers and holds over 40 patents. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and winner of the IEEE Kobayashi Medal (2001), the IEEE Millennium Medal (2000) and the Marconi Society's Marconi Prize (2006). Dr. Cioffi holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
