MAC and Network Optimization System Engineer/Architect

In this position the MAC/network optimization algorithms engineer will contribute to architecture, design, modeling, implementation and testing of WLAN MAC and network optimization protocol algorithms. This individual will need to be able to work independently, deliver solution from concepts and algorithms to fully tested and demonstrable implementation and be able to participate and contribute to standards activities.

Ideal candidate will conduct system analysis and simulation, performance optimization and architectural trade-off for hardware and software implementation. He or she will work closely with software and ASIC teams in implementation, verification, optimization and testing of designed algorithms.

Requirements:

  • Expected to have in depth knowledge and hands on experience in MAC algorithms, protocols and networking
  • Knowledge of WLAN MAC protocols (11a/b/g/n/ac)
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skill with experience in embedded linux development
  • Understanding of physical layer algorithm, signal processing theory and wireless system optimization a plus
  • Previous exposure to chip bring-up and characterization and debug would be a great plus in this position
  • Significant understanding in the areas of interference management, network optimization, self-organizing networks, and relaying
  • MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; smart entry-level or junior engineers will also be considered
