Sr.  Application Engineer

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to resolve/reproduce technical issues.
  • Establish and maintain lines of communication with engineering and customer to discuss technical issues.
  • Debug software issues such as bootloader, linux kernel and WLAN driver
  • Evaluate Wi-Fi throughput, range and performance
  • Work with issues in Wi-Fi, IOT, Wi-Fi-Certification and Manufacturing.
  • Customize software and drivers for customer’s platform.
  • Write technical application notes. Host technical training for internal FAE and external customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in software designing and supporting networking and wireless drivers
  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols and throughput analysis using tools – sniffers, spectrum analyzers,Chariot, iperf etc.
  • Candidate should have solid experience in networking – TCP, UDP,DHCP,NAT,VLAN.
  • Candidate should have solid experience supporting linux on embedded processor platforms.
  • Strong problem solving skills. Strong customer facing experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Video over Wi-Fi experience is preferable.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in EE or CS required. Masters preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience with at least 3-5 years in customer facing roles.
