Principal CAD Design Engineer

Description:

  • Key member of a world class team supporting the design of cutting-edge CMOS RF integrated circuits for ultra-high performance carrier-grade MIMO systems

Requirements:

  • BSEE required, MSEE preferred
  • 5+ years of work or project experience
  • Support and enhance Analog/RF CAD infrastructure for all R&D; projects in a multi-site deployment
  • Evaluate state-of-the-art EDA vendor tools, providing feedback of tool capabilities, generating roll-out plans for new capabilities, etc.
  • Provide ongoing support to Analog R&D; design teams (CAD questions, project related issues, flow & methodology concerns)
  • Track and document all CAD & tool related issues; communicate to R&D; design teams
  • Develop in-house utilities & tools, as needed
  • Must have good hands-on experience with Unix, shell scripts, PERL, C, etc.
  • Preferred experience includes: Cadence Virtuoso framework (schematic/layout/skill), Spectre, Physical verification (DRC/LVS), Mentor Calibre
